The Swampland Jewels formed in 2021 in an effort to bring gulf coast classics and originals to the area. In 2023 they headlined the Des Moines Cajun Fest and were awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to complete their debut album, which will be released in Spring 2024.
